Penny Louise Wilcox, 75 of Hartford passed away at her residence April 1, 2022.

Cremation has taken place and family services will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Penny may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Centrica Care Navigators.

Penny was born June 24, 1946 in Kodiak, Alaska to Harold James and Jeannette Louise (Gould) Lewis.  She was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving in Vietnam from 1965 to 1968.  Penny was a long time member of the Eagles in Dowagiac as well as the VFW.  She will be deeply missed and remembered for her kindness and her sense of humor as well as her generosity.  She loved animals, especially her cat Missy and really enjoyed trips to the local casino.  Penny was loved by many and will forever be in our hearts.

Survivors include her children, James Scott (Heather) Wilcox of Roanoke, Indiana, Grace Marie (Phillip) Hopson of Hartford, Brian Harold (Amanda) Wilcox of Berrien Center; one brother Bill (Dixie) Lewis of Geneva, Florida; two sisters Judy Arbogast of Chesnee, South Carolina, Virginia (Tony) Scheuer of Paw Paw; and three grandchildren, Danielle Wilcox, Carly Wilcox, and Ashley Hopson.

In addition to her parents Penny was preceded in death by her long time companion, Norman K. Rollins of Dowagiac as well as her brother and sister-in-law Gary and Marilyn (Willming) Lewis.
