Ramiro "Peso" Peña, 73 of Coloma passed away September 27, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 4 at Faith Lutheran Church in Coloma. Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Peso's memory may be made to the church, North Berrien Senior Center or Meals on Wheels. Peso was born September 21, 1949 in McAllen, Texas to Pedro and Santoes Peña. He worked for Quality Paving and eventually retired from the City of Coloma as part of their public works team after 26 years. Peso enjoyed working on cars and lawn mowers, and watching his grandson race. He was a Life Member of the Coloma FOP Lodge, which he helped originally build. Throughout his life, he helped out just about everyone in Coloma and he will be truly missed.

Surviving family includes his wife Debra, whom he married September 4, 1970; two sons Troy (Carmen) Peña and Todd (Kallie) Peña; grandchildren Steven (Kaitlyn) Peña and Landon Peña and great grandchildren Chase, Hudson and Atticus. Also surviving are many brothers and sisters.

Peso is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
