Richard P. Sirk, 86 of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

Services with military honors will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 27th at Duffield and Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens. Donations in memory of Richard may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Richard was born October 5, 1939 in Benton Harbor to James and Virginia (Pallasch) Sirk. He retired as a Master Sargeant from the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was an inflight avionics technician and supervisor of instructors at Kessler Air Force Base. He also retired from the IT department at Benton Harbor Area Schools.

Richard is survived by two sons; David Sirk of Bangor, and Jeffrey (Denise) Sirk of St. Joseph; two brothers, Chuck (Carol) Sirk and Jerry (Tina) Sirk, and one sister, Joyce Lane. He is also survived by one grandchild; Perry Sirk and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Mabel (Kahler), second wife Barbara, his third wife Doris, a son Richard, two grandchildren, Serena Jinkins and Jeffrey Sirk, two brothers, Billy and Dennis Sirk, and one sister, Donna Green.
