Robert R. Jones, 76, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at noon on Thursday at North Shore Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are encouraged to come to the funeral home between 11:00 and 11:30 a.m. Thursday and join us as we process as a group to the cemetery.

Bob was born on May 21, 1941 in Berrien Springs, Michigan to Rolland and Ellen (Stone) Jones. He was a carpenter by trade and worked at several nuclear plants over the years including D.C. Cook, Palisades, and the Holland Nuclear Facility. Bob was also a gifted cabinet maker and was one of the former local owners of L & B Construction. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, remodeling his home, fishing, camping and playing with the children. Bob was also an animal lover. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed kidding around with people.

He is survived by his wife Barbara whom he married on June 16, 1984; his stepdaughter Karen (Dale) Persickie of Muskegon Heights; two stepsons, Aaron (Heather) Trapp of Coloma and Jason Trapp of Galesburg; seven grandchildren, Lilly, Holly,  Aden and Emma Persickie, Megan and Ava Trapp and Caleb Miller; cousins Beverly and Mike Jordan; and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Humane Society of SW Michigan.
