Robert L. Zerbe, 85, of Watervliet, passed away on December 22, 2022 at Caretel Inn in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial donations in Robert's memory may be made to Caring Circle Hospice. Robert was born April 12, 1937 in Benton Harbor to Leonard and Lena (Schramm) Zerbe.   He graduated from Coloma High School in 1955 and then joined the Navy. He enjoyed working and was employed at New Products for 17 years followed by Whirlpool from 1974 up until retirement in 2000 where he was friends with all. Robert owned a motorcycle shop called Zerbe's Kawasaki in the 70s and owned an excavating business for many years, snow plowing for over 50 years. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, boating, life on the lake, fishing, and especially going to the races at Hartford Speedway. Robert was also a very involved member at Trinity Lutheran Church and loved his weekly bible studies with friends at Blue Roof Church in St. Joseph.

Robert is survived by his children William (Tamara) Zerbe of Covert, Mark (Janeen) Zerbe of St. Joseph and Melissa Zerbe of Watervliet; and his grandchildren Mason Diehl, Manny Luna and Ross Zerbe.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
