Ronald J. Green, 79, of Watervliet, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Watervliet. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 p.m. Memorials in Ron's memory may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service.

Ron was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan on Oct. 5, 1938 and was one of four children born to Eldon and Lila (Goldner) Green. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the mid 1950's. He was a lifelong resident of Watervliet. Ron had been employed with Gast Manufacturing in Benton Harbor for over 35 years prior to his retirement. He was also a member of the Coloma American Legion Post 362. In his free time Ron enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Tony) Green of Coloma; two sons, Darryl (Bonnie) Green and Dennis (Esther) Green, also of Coloma; his stepdaughter Jerris (Dean) Farrell of South Haven; his stepson David (Mary) Cisco of Deland, Fla.; his sister Eldonna Wehmann of St. Joseph; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife Nancy in 2013; his parents; and two brothers, Dewayne and Kenneth Green.
