Ruth Eversole Coburn, 87, of Coloma, passed away on September 30, 2023 at Serenity Shore ALF in Stevensville, Michigan.  Ruth was born July 28, 1936 in Mishawaka, Indiana. She and her twin brother were the youngest of six children born to Thelma Irene Webster and Elmer Ephram Eversole.

Ruth was raised in South Bend, Indiana where she met & fell in love with her husband Hewie.  After they were married, they move to SW Michigan where they raised a family of four children and in 1977 they moved to Coloma.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family & house.  She especially liked baking cookies, fudge and breads which she gave away to family, church friends and neighbors. Ruth and Hewie were married for over 65 years. She was faithful in her worship of God, attended and was a member of El Bethel Church of God and was passionate about singing folk and gospel songs.

She is survived by her two daughters, TJ Coburn of Florida and Nena L. Reese (Mitchell) of Michigan; two sons, David H. Coburn and Timothy Coburn, both of Minnesota; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren in addition to several nieces & nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Hewie Houston Coburn; her parents; five siblings, Margaret Laird, Irene DeBaets, Patricia "Pat" Foster, Marilyn Wesaw, and Roger Eversole; her infant daughter Christine Coburn; and her grandson Christopher Coburn.

Memorial donations can be made to El Bethel Church of God or Caring Circle Hospice.  A Celebration of Life is planned at a later date.
