Sharon A. Swetay, 69, of Coloma, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday at Red Arrow General Baptist Church in Benton Harbor. Visitation with friends and family will take place from 5-7 P.M. Thursday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Memorial donations in Sharon's honor may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Sharon was born October 8, 1952 in Hayti, Missouri, the daughter of George and Ruthie Dye. Sharon married the love of her life, Joe Swetay, in 1971 and the couple celebrated 48 years of marriage prior to Joe's passing in 2020. Sharon's family, especially her grandchildren, were the center of her love and attention. In her spare time, she enjoyed both sewing and quilting. She was also a long-time member of the Red Arrow General Baptist Church.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Adella (Randy) Wells of Coloma; her son, Josh (Starla) Swetay of Watervliet; six grandchildren, Randy (Kayla) Wells, Breanna (Adam) Borah, Alanna Swetay, Skylar Swetay, Jonathan Swetay and Heavyn Swetay; and three great grandchildren, Addison, Derrick, and Jace Wells.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe; her sister Georgina Bufford, and her parents.
