Shirley Ann Wohler, 89, of Coloma, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at A Place Called Home in Stevensville.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 25th at Salem Lutheran Church in Coloma.  The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to Salem Lutheran Church or Caring Circle Hospice.  Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.

Shirley was born July 30, 1936 in Steele, Missouri to George Malcolm and Lorene (Hutson) Hicks.  She had been an active member of Salem Lutheran Church over the years.  She was also a member of the Berrien County GOP and Michigan Republican Party.  During her career in government, she held various executive positions with the Department of Human Services, Michigan Works, and Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency of Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties. For the many years her children were in school she was also very active in the PTO.

Shirley is survived by her children; Keith Wade, Sheri Schaub, Kaye (Kurt) Krieger, Lorie (Bill) Stroud, and Kellie Smith.  Also surviving is a step daughter Pat (Bill) Kronbetter, two step sons, Alan Wohler, Michael (Jaime) Wohler, a brother Calvin Hicks, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2007 whom she married July 3, 1982, a daughter Shirl Sarters, a granddaughter Taylor Smith and a great grandson Hudson Smith.
