Steven M. Lucker, 68, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph following an extended illness.

The family is hosting a celebration of Steve's life on Wednesday, May 15th, from 5-8 p.m. at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Cremation has taken place.

Steve was born May 14, 1955 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Frederick and Muriel (Skanes) Lucker. During college, he was a member of the Phi Kappa Nu Fraternity. After college, Steve worked at the DC Cook Nuclear Plant in Bridgman from 1985 to 2003 prior to joining Vail Rubber Works in St. Joseph where he worked from 2003 through 2017, when he retired due to health conditions. In earlier years, Steve was very active and had a wide range of interests. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping, taxidermy, riding his Harley, restoring classic cars, including a 1958 MGB Roadster, and had even earned his pilot's license.

Steve is survived by his two brothers, Bruce Lucker of Watervliet and David (Karla) Lucker of Coloma; his nieces Kathy (Troy) Burkle, Alyssa Lucker and Lauren Matheson; his nephew Blake Lucker; grandnieces Lea Marie and Olivia Lucker; and his grandnephew Landon Lucker.

He was preceded in death by his father Frederick in 1969, his mother Muriel in 2013, and his beloved parrot companion Dusty.
