Suzanne M. Gast, 59, of Watervliet, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 3, 2022 at her home.

A time for friends and family to visit together will take place from 5-7 P.M. Monday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. As per Sue's wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations in Sue's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association. Sue was born on July 12, 1962 in Benton Harbor to Arnold and Peggy Gast. She was a graduate of Watervliet High School. A few years later Sue began working at Leco Corporation in St. Joseph and had over 35 years of faithful service there. Her most recent position was as an international shipping coordinator. Sue enjoyed spending her free time at home. She loved books and spent many hours reading anything from mysteries to romance novels. Family and friends were also an important aspect of her life. In 2004 Sue took her nephew Kyle in and treated him as her own son. She loved her nieces and nephews and treated her nephew's children as her own grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her sister Arniece (Alan) Wagner of Eau Claire; Kyle Gast of Watervliet; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother William "Butch" Gast.
