Theodore "Ted" Edward Ruwe, Jr., 71 of Benton Harbor, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 20, 2024 at his home.

Ted was born July 26, 1952 in Benton Harbor to Theodore and Lucille (Carver) Ruwe, Sr.  He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1970 and then Western Michigan University in 1974 with a major in accounting.

He held various jobs throughout his life, including spending a year in China, teaching English as a second language.  After retirement he became a world traveler, spending winters in Thailand and summers in Benton Harbor.

Ted is survived by his daughters; Lana (Zachary) Orndorff of Chicago, Erin (Brian) Todd of Richmond, VA; two sisters; Sylvia Aldrich and Linda Lindley both of Benton Harbor.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Benjamin Orndorff, Harrison Todd, and Charlie Todd; four nephews Terry (Marsha) Aldrich, Jodie Lindley and Brian and Kyle Ruwe, along with dear friends Kay Schultz and Karl Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Alan, brother-in-law Jim Aldrich, and a nephew Jeff Aldrich.
