Todd C. Smith, 71, of Coloma, passed away at his residence following a short illness on Monday, May 24, 2021.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 29 at the Bangor Church of Christ. The family will begin receiving friends at 11:00. Cremation has taken place. Todd was born Dec. 15, 1949 in South Haven, Michigan to Willis and Dorothy Smith. He earned his Master's Degree in education and then taught for 28 years, mostly in the Coloma Public School System grades 4-7. When he was younger Todd was very active in sports, participating in volleyball, basketball, and bowling. In later years he enjoyed golfing as well as photography. Todd was very active in the Michiana Christian Camp, whether it was mowing the lawn, working on the cabins or serving on the board. He was also well known for making his peanut brittle each year, using his grandmother's secret recipe. At Christmas time, he and Kathleen would make hundreds of batches to give to family and friends.

Todd is survived by his wife Kathleen; son, Gregory (Sarah) Smith of Mebane, N.C.; his daughter Sara (Kevin) Trapp of Stevensville; his granddaughter Lila Trapp; and his stepmother Mary Lou Smith of Coloma.
