Wakelf James, 87, of Coloma, passed away on April 28, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 3 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma . Burial with military honors will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Wakelf's memory may be made to the family. Wakelf was born February 10, 1932 in Russellville, Ala. to Thomas and Gertrude (Fisher) James. He was passionate about woodworking and welding.

He is survived by his special friend Cordelia Matlock of Berrien Springs; his daughter Karen (Donald) Harris of Coloma; sister Lou Tollett of Tenn.; and grandchildren Amanda, Teresa, Larry, Kathryn and Jamie. Also surviving are ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and multiple nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Juleen (Smith) James; daughter Kathryn (Kat) Crowder; son Wade Coleman James and great grandson Matthew Wakelf Reed.
