Wanda was born on June 18, 1927 in Benton Harbor, the daughter of Stanley and Mary Domanski. Wanda completed her education at Lakeshore High School. She married the love of her life, William Adler, on May 3, 1947 and the couple celebrated 54 years together prior to William's passing in 2001. The couple lived in St. Joseph where they raised their two daughters Nancy and Karla. Wanda took great pride in taking care of their home and was an avid shopper. She was a very fashionable woman and was always well put together, whether working around the house or out in public. Wanda loved to listen to the old time 1940's favorites like Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey as it reminded her of the many fabulous evenings where she and William would dance the nights away.
Prior to her retirement, Wanda worked at Crystal Springs Florist. She was a hard worker and well-liked by the staff as well as the customers she served. She was a past member of St. Peter's UCC in St. Joseph, attended Zion UCC in Baroda, and was currently attending St. Bernard's Catholic Church. In recent years, Wanda lived at Woodland Terrace, initially in Bridgman and then in the newest location in St. Joseph. She was a very social person who was very well loved by her fellow residents and staff.
Wanda is survived by her daughters, Nancy (David) Kietzer of Wickenburg, Ariz. and Karla (David) Lucker of St. Joseph; and her beloved granddaughter Lauren Matheson of Chicago.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband William; a stillborn infant Stanley; and two brothers, Theodore and Mitchell Domanski.
