Warren "Bud" Beezley, 78, of Coloma passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008 at his residence. Bud was born January 1, 1930 in Watervliet to Arnold and Althea (Jewell) Beezley. As a carpet layer by trade he was the former owner and operator of Beezley's Tile and Carpet Store in Stevensville. He had been enlisted in the Navy Reserve during the Korean Conflict. In addition to being a member of the Watervliet Free Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees, Bud was also a member of the National Rifle Association, the Berrien County Sheriffs Posse, and a 15 year EMT formerly serving as President of the Coloma Ambulance. Survivors include his wife Patricia, whom he married October 29, 1971; four children, Warren "Bob" (Debra) Beezley of Benton Harbor, Donald (Brenda) Beezley of Stevensville, Suzanne Marshall of Portage, MI, and Roger (Nancy) Beezley of Eau Claire; four step children, Curtis (Wendy) Johnson of Niles, MI, Nancy Johnson of Cleveland, OH, Charlene Torres of Three Rivers, and Larry (Marge) Johnson of Dalzell, SC. Also surviving is one brother Donald (Patsy) Beezley of Somonauk, ILL; one sister Johanna (Donald) Poziwilko of Sodus; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Thomas and Alvin Beezley, and two sisters Priscilla "Pat" Reinhardt and Betty Jean Beezley. A service celebrating Bud's life will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, July 2 at Watervliet Free Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Burial will be in Coloma Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Bud may be made to the Watervliet Free Methodist Church.
