Obituary

Warren W. Seabury, 88, of Covert, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations in Warren's honor may be made to the Covert Lion's Club, the DANK, or Grace Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. Warren was born June 29, 1930 in Muskegon; the son of Fred and Eva Seabury. He worked at Whirlpool Corporation for over 30 years. Warren also started Seabury Disposal which he owned and operated for many years in the Covert area prior to its sale. In addition he also owned a blueberry farm with his wife Cecilia, whom he married in 1980. Warren was very active in the Covert community. He served two terms as the Covert Lion's Club President and also served as Chairman of the Covert Planning Commission. For a time, Warren also was a roadie for the Strudelmeister Polka Band in which Cecilia sang.

Warren is survived by Cecilia, his wife of 39 years; four children, Sandra (Michael) Olszewski, Victoria Seabury, Barbara (Robert) Porphi, and Warren "Bud" (Angela) Seabury Jr., all of Coloma; four stepchildren, Katharina O'Connor and Brian Burke, both of Hawaii, Michael Burke of Marshall, and Judith Kibbey of Calif.; two sisters, Geraldine (Carl) Grigereit of Covert and Mary Civis of Grand Rapids; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Seabury and a stepson Bruce Burke.
