Wayne M. Antosz, a warm-hearted and jovial man known for his friendly nature and caring spirit, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2026, in Watervliet, Michigan.

Wayne was born on September 5, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, to Aloysius and Arline Antosz. Throughout his career, Wayne found his calling primarily as a cook, lending his skills and dedication to several restaurants and bars where his culinary talents were appreciated by many. Beyond his professional life, he enjoyed fishing and took great pleasure in tending his vegetable garden. His love for cooking extended into his hobby of canning homegrown produce, reflecting his connection to the simple joys of life and the nourishment of those around him. Wayne’s personality was characterized by his ever-present sense of humor and his genuine kindness. Those who knew him remember his lighthearted jokes and the comfort he brought through his caring demeanor.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Cribley of Bridgman; his sister, Christine (Jerry) Fisher of Sawyer; his brother, Dave (Beth) Antosz of Baroda; and two grandchildren. In addition to his family, Wayne’s close friends Larry and Brenda remained a steadfast part of his life, sharing countless memories and companionship. He was preceded him in death by his parents.

As per Wayne's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of Wayne’s life will take place at a later date. Wayne’s journey on this earth may have come to an unexpected close, but the echoes of his laughter and the kindness he shared endure in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
