Wilbur I. Myers, 91, of Coloma, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at his home on Paw Paw Lake.

Cremation has taken place.  A memorial mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford.  Burial of ashes will be in Skyline Memorial Cemetery in Monee, IL at a later date.  Donations in memory of Wilbur may be made to the church or the Wounded Warrior Project.  Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.

Wilbur was born May 16, 1932 in Homewood, IL to Wilbur I. and Marie (Schmidt) Myers.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  On August 22, 1953 he married Marian Sjoerdsma who preceded him in death on August 22, 1977.  He then married Kathleen T. Loughran on February 15, 1980.  He retired from Northern Illinois Gas Company after 35 years of service.  Wilbur loved his family very much.  Time spent with his wife Kathy, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was always very special to him.  He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, boating, and all water sports.  He often called himself "The Golf Pro" at Paw Paw Lake Golf Course.

Survivors include his wife Kathy, children Sheree (Robert) Freeman of Bloomington, IL, Mark (Sally) Myers of Carmel, IN, and Jill (Dave) Clinite of Winnebago, IL.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Luke (Mara) Freeman, Zach (Allie) Freeman, Andrew (Rachel) Freeman, Bailey (Kaveh) Tayebi, Marisa (Dave) Abdelmdseih, Maggie (Josh) Schierbeek, Lexi (Jacob) Battle, Charlie Myers, Allie (Doug) Kruez, Matt (Becky) Clinite, Brandon (Chelsea) Clinite, and 24 great grandchildren.
