Willard G. Nichols, 89, of Benton Harbor passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

Willard was born December 9, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was a long time local farmer and had been employed, over the years, by various businesses in the area.  Willard was also a life member of Millburg Christian Church, a member of the North Berrien Historical Society, a volunteer at Eden Springs Park in Benton Harbor, and was a huge Spartan and Detroit Tigers fan.

Survivors include his son Dan, and daughters Laura (Brian) Grant and Tammy (Troy) Lahndorf.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren and a nephew Steve Cordell.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Marian (Mays) Nichols, his sister Ruth Cordell, and a niece Cyndee Cordell.
