William Charles Henke, 67, of Stevensville, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Mishawaka.

A Memorial Service will be held on December 30, 2015 at 12 p.m. at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation starting one hour prior. Memorial donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation in memory of Bill.

Bill was born on July 20, 1948 in Elyria, Ohio to Gilbert and Joyce (McIntyre) Henke. Growing up Bill lived in several different cities, including Elyria, Portage, Flagstaff, and Coloma. He joined the Navy in November of 1967 and served his country for nine years. During that time he served in the Mediterranean Sea on the Navy ship, U.S.S. Roosevelt. After the Navy, he worked for Ciba Corning in Boston. He eventually moved to Southwest Michigan where he was employed by Leco Corporation for the past 15 years. He loved boating on the lake, flying kites and planes and golfing.

Bill is survived by his wife Susan (Balazer) Henke, his son Christopher of Holland and his mother Linda; his step son Lang
(Christy) Balazer of Stevensville; his grandson Logan Balazer; his siblings Tina Schaus, Karin Knox, Laura Ehlers, Gary Henke and Randy Henke as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents.
