William V. "Sonny" Ballard, 81 of Coloma, formerly of Leesburg, Fla passed away October 14, 2020 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.

Services celebrating his life will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 20 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where the family will receive friends beginning on hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Sonny may be made to the charity of your choice. Sonny was born March 4, 1939 in Caruthersville, Mo. to Wilburn  and Geneva (Greenwell) Ballard.  He married the love of his Mary Ann Schoonover in 1958.  In 1968 he was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard.  He and his wife together operated Big A Auto Parts in Leesburg for 41 years. In his free time he loved to hunt and fish.  They also traveled to every state except Hawaii.  He was also a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fruitland Park, Fla.

He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann, two sisters Mary (Jerry) Drake of Bangor, and Carolyn Sue (C.L.) Collins of Coloma, along with his cherished pets "Heidi" and "Daisy".

Sonny was preceded by his parents and a brother Roy.
