Winnifred L. Yops, 96, of Coloma, passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 17, 2018 at Woodland Terrace of Paw Paw Lake.

A Memorial Service will be held at noon Saturday, July 14th at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning one hour prior at 11 a.m.   Interment of ashes will occur at Riverside National Cemetery in California next to her late husband Eric who preceded her in 2004. Winnie was born Dec. 22, 1921 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Harry and Alma Peel. She was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School.  Several years later in 1944 she and Eric Yops were married and they  celebrated 60 years together before Eric's passing in 2004. The couple relocated out west in 1966, first to Nevada and then later to California. While there, Winnie had worked at a stationary store until she retired. She moved back to the Coloma area in 2012.

Winnie is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Merry) Yops of Coloma and Gerald (Diane) Yops of Minden, Nevada; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her only sister Lorraine Auringer.
